Ben Bowens

Ben Bowens serves as the Communications Specialist for States at the Core. A graduate of Haverford College, he has worked as the Communications Director for the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers, Communications Director for State Senator Vincent Hughes, and the Communications Associate for the ACLU of Pennsylvania. In his spare time, he manages a photography business specializing in portraits and events. In 2017, he was named to Billy Penn’s “Who’s Next: 19 up-and-coming communications pros working to change Philly,” and in 2015, was named a "Hero Among Us" by the Philadelphia 76ers for his volunteer work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania. He’s lived in the Philadelphia-area since graduating in 2006.
